Hey Folks. You are doing a great job on these blog posts, but I would love to see even more commenting. You'll notice that (starting this week), I've been jumping in with more of my own comments, trying to be provocative in places, and just trying to keep the conversation going.
Also, don't forget that you can use "labels" in your posts: those keywords that will associate posts with linked topics. (See the box on the bottom right of your posting screen.) If you are especially ambitious, you can go back and add labels to your older posts. You'll also see that Blogger does some auto-completing, offering to put in labels that already exist for other posts. Pretty cool stuff.
I notice that Phil has introduced the label "creepers." As a fan of that word and concept (it makes me laugh and I think it's kind of clever and poetic), I'd love to see how often that one gets used!

Getting started, Part II
Just a reminder, please make sure you've submitted your first post by Sunday at 5:00. At this point, write about whatever you want--your initial reactions to the episodes, what interests you (or doesn't!), etc.
Blogging tips
Blogger actually has some helpful documents you can check out if you need more guidance on getting started with blogging, but here are some quick tips:.
To write a new post:
- Make sure you are signed in (click sign-in at the top right side of the page)
- Click on “New Post,” also on the top right side of the page
- This will bring you to a new screen.
- Type your post’s title in the box marked “Title”
- Then post the body of your response in the large white box. You can also type up your response in Microsoft Word and simply cut and paste it in. (That’s how I am writing this post.)
- To insert a link, type the text you want to be displayed as a link, then click on the little button that says “Link.”
- This will bring up a pop-up box. Paste or copy the URL of the site you want to link to into that box.
- Inserting a picture is a similar process. You can either upload a picture or link to a picture elsewhere.
- When you are all done, click “Publish Post” (the orange box below the big white box).
That’s it! Have fun!

Blog guidelines
Here's what we have so far. We can continue to talk about and refine these in class.
1) Everyone must write at least one 150-word post a week
2) Weekly posts are due by Sunday at 5:00 p.m.
3) Make sure your posts are clear, proof-read, and grammatically correct.
One other important note: remember to be courteous and respectful in your posts.
